The Sun could hardly have been in a worse position for
beginning a venture, at 29 Pisces. Similarly, the Angles were all mutable. The
war itself was short, but the aftermath was a carnage that went on for years,
the reason given for the war – WMD – turned out to be false, and 9 years on
Iraq is a fragile democracy that could easily turn into a dictatorship or
chaos.

The Angles are at the very end of the mutable signs, and the
Moon at 24 Gemini is late Mutable. Again, the worst possible time to begin a
venture.

It is at the end of Gemini, closely conjunct the MC of the
Euro. It is almost spooky. It comes 2 days after the elections in Greece, and
is a New Moon of endings rather than beginnings. It doesn’t seem to leave much
room for doubt that Greece will leave the Euro.
Will that be it? It wouldn’t seem to be if we consider the
other 2 major events of this month - the transit of Venus across the Sun on the
6th of June and the exact square from Uranus to Pluto on the 24th.
It’s a remarkable line-up of astrological events.
In modern astrology, Venus has become the planet of money (as well as love), and its rare passage across the face of the Sun at a time of economic crisis seems to portend a major event. This is visual astrology, which has a raw power that our usual astrology, based largely on invisible mathematical coincidences, does not. Visual astrology is an astrology of omens, of literal events rather than psychological interpretation.
So it doesn’t look like Greece will just leave the Euro and Europe will adjust and carry on as before. It’s looking more like a catalyst for a whole series of events.

The bigger context is Uranus-Pluto. The Euro Sun is at 10.04
Capricorn, and the Uranus-Pluto square will be at 8.24 Capricorn-Aries. This will
be the first of several squares around the Euro Sun.
Either astrology doesn’t work, or we are seeing the
beginning of a grand demolition and rebuilding in Europe. The EU (or EEC as it
then was) began at midnight on 1st Jan 1958. The Sun is at 10 Capricorn,
and again the Angles are at the end of the mutable signs.

Uranus-Pluto isn’t about small adjustments, it is about
systemic change. To date, after 4 years of recession, we still have the same
system. The other 2 big powers, the US and China, look like they can carry on
with the old system, but Europe does not. It may be gradual change in Europe
over the next few years as Uranus-Pluto completes its series of 7 squares, and
there may also be periods of sudden breakdown, as we are likely to see in the
case of Greece.
Putting the Euro chart and the EU charts together, it is
possible that the EU itself will disintegrate. In any case, looking at the
realities of the debt in countries like Spain, and putting that together with
the astrology, it looks like Greece will probably be part of a domino effect,
gradual or otherwise, rather than being an isolated case.
And that probably means world recession for a few more years
at least. I don’t think we need view that as a bad thing. We are conditioned to
feel down unless the economy is growing. Growth, rather than sustainability and
the meeting of needs, seems to be the modern criterion for a healthy economy. Recessions
are a time for re-considering what is important. Maybe Venus, as a planet of values,
also has that meaning in its passage across the Sun.

So buy gold or silver?
ReplyDeleteWhat happens if you start an endeavor under a fixed sign?
ReplyDeleteFirst off, thanks for returning to us.
ReplyDeleteBen Stein said on CBS Sunday Morning this morning (06/10/2012) that if Greece leaves the Eurozone, it will have a far-reaching and bad effect.
Am I out of line thinking that the summer solstice (June 19-20) is going to hand us all a major surprise?
Did anybody ever run his thoughts about why growing your own food is so populair these days..
ReplyDeleteIs it for the environment or your health.
Maybe it's just about surviving. Has it something to do with the unconsciousness. People just don't know why they doing what they are doing.
btw. wonderful blog
The US system may limp along a bit longer, but perhaps not much more beyond that. I am interesting in seeing what the state of the country will be when Uranus-Pluto transits the US Sun-Saturn natal square. Would seem to indicate a reckoning with the very concept of America (Sun) itself and its discomfort with structure and authority (Saturn square). The Republican Party that is causing so much mischief right now also has a mid-cardinal natal Sun in Cancer. They'll likely be right in the middle of whatever upheaval is taking place in the US mid-decade.
ReplyDeleteWhat's going on in Syria.
ReplyDeleteUSA and Russia can't agree in intervention.
We are not gonna get away with this..
Just wondering if there's room for the idea of Germany leaving the Euro zone? http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/352872/20120615/germany-leave-euro-zone-greek-exit-crisis.htm
ReplyDeleteYOU ARE OBSESSED WITH MONEY MR DOLARRUCCI!!
ReplyDeleteAre you aware that Alexis Tsipras (leader of Syriza)was born four days after the military junta fell?
ReplyDeleteThat means he has a near-identical birth chart to the current chart for Greece.
To me, it says that his fate & the nation's are closely bound together.
He's the only candidate that people are taking any notice of. He's charismatic and idealistic (North Node is currently on his Neptune).
If he wins tomorrow, or is able to form a government with other parties, it could be the catalyst that leads to the break-up of the EU.
